At Eye Rx — Stone Ridge, technology is used for one purpose: to support better clinical decisions and clearer communication. By gathering detailed measurements during your exam, our eye doctor can identify concerns earlier, monitor changes more consistently, and tailor care to your needs.

For families, this is especially valuable when a child’s prescription is changing quickly. For adults, it supports long-term monitoring for conditions that require steady follow-up, including diabetes-related eye concerns and glaucoma.

What This Means for Your Visit

Your eye doctor will walk you through what the testing shows, what it means for your eye health, and what your options are—so you can make decisions with confidence.

When follow-up is recommended, it’s because your care plan is built around steady monitoring, not guesswork.

Advanced Technology We Use

Digital Phoropters

Digital phoropters help us refine your prescription with consistency and precision. They also support reliable comparisons from visit to visit, which is important when we’re monitoring visual changes over time.

Corneal Topography

Corneal topography maps the corneal surface to help us better understand how your eye focuses light. This supports contact lens evaluations and gives your doctor more insight when vision quality doesn’t match a standard prescription.

Visual Field

Our visual field machine precisely tests peripheral and central vision. This allows the doctor to diagnose, monitor and treat complex conditions such as glaucoma, plaquenil toxicity and stroke/brain tumor related periphery vision loss.

Retinal Imaging

Our widefield retinal imaging, recommended on a yearly basis for all ages, can detect even the smallest retinal abnormalities without the need for dilation. This allows early detection of complex diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments and macular conditions.

Zeiss OCT

Our Zeiss OCT allows for early detection and monitoring of diseases such as macular degeneration, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.
